David Potter began his journey into the world of construction and hardwood flooring at the young age of 17 when the local flooring company his father, Gary, worked at, hired him on.
He continued working in the trades for almost a decade after that, deciding then to obtain his contractor's license and embark on what is now David Potter Flooring.
DP Flooring is a true family-operated company.
David is on every jobsite from start to finish, from snapping lines, laying floors, to applying that final coat of finish.

It is definitely possible to stay in the house while the refinishing is being done, however, we usually do not recommend it.
It usually works out better to have your floors refinished before you move in or if you will be gone on vacation.
The biggest challenge comes in the fact that you must avoid the floors because they can not be walked on while they are drying.
If the rooms that are being refinished can not be avoided then you will need to find an alternate place to stay during the process.
The sanding process definitely creates a lot of dust, but we tackle this issue by having spent thousands of dollars on state of the art sanding machines and dust containment systems.
