Services
Our company was founded by Tom Laverty in 1988.
Tom originally began installing hardwood floors in the Northwest corner of CT and soon realized his services and passion for hardwood floors would be needed further south.
In the mid 1990's Tom relocated the business to Fairfield County.
He has developed decades long relationships with some of the most influential home builders in Fairfield and Westchester County, NY.
The hardwood floors of several hundred new construction homes in the region proudly signify Wall Street Wood Floors' impact on the real estate scene across Connecticut and New York.

The floor was in good shape but the color was what you'd expect from an amberized oak floor.
The last time it was refinished was likely 15 years ago.
The amber had to go, so we started consulting with their interior designer on colors.
The interior designer asked us to bring some white coloring to the mix.
We went thru all the options that come with turning red oak floors into a more scandinavian white-washed wood floor.
With a pronounced and geometrical grain, I had originally assumed the floors were red oak.
However, after a couple of trips to the home to evaluate the floors - Tom discovered the true species of their hardwood floors.
Once we discovered the species, we told the unknowing homeowner that they are fortunate to have a unique and uncommon floor in their home.
Our job was to sand all of the finish, dirt and orangey color that accumulates on a wood floor after decades of living on it.
What makes us different is how we do it.
