Billy of Artistic Floors did an amazing job on our old hardwood floors. He was very responsive and quick to respond through the whole process and extremely helpful in deciding what stain to use. He went out of his way to get the job done beautifully and on time! I would highly recommend!

Breathtakingly beautiful floors are what Artistic Flooring brings into a home. Words are not enough to express my satisfaction with Artistic Flooring. If floors were music, Artistic Flooring is a symphony composer. Billy, the owner: From day one, Billy always showed that he was an expert in his field, which made me confident in the company's ability to help me (after a prior contractor had significantly marred my floors).

Whenever there is significant project in a home, it is an incredibly stressful and nerve-wracking, and, after a bad experience, hard to trust. Billy's calm and confident demeanor really reassured me that I, and my house, would survive the disaster in my home and everything would be better than new by the end of Artistic Floorings project. I had no idea how truly exceptional and stunning the floors would become with Artistic Flooring. Chris, the Refinishing Guru: Chris is a phenomenal craftsman, effectively a master artisan, when it comes to hardwood floors. Chris is not only exceptionally skilled but also possesses an intuitive, zen-like, understanding of wood.

His attention to detail was incomparable and resulted in table top smooth floors. In fact, I ran a silk scarf across the floors throughout my house with not a single snag and this was BEFORE staining and finishing. During the process, Chris was always looking for ways to better enhance the final product. When I was having difficulty deciding between two stains, Chris applied them in multiple rooms and encouraged me to view them at different times of the day.

After taking the time to listen to my thoughts the next day, he suggested two coats of stain to obtain the depth I was looking for (something other contractors will not do). The end result was breathtakingly beautiful floors. Deanna, the project manager: Deanna demonstrated a deep, thorough understanding of the entire refinishing process as well as flooring and stain options. Deanna took well over an hour to not only patiently help this poor novice comprehend the hardwood flooring process but also to understand my household and what my needs and preferences were. Deanna was adept at managing the entire refinishing process, always friendly, while consistently following up and staying on top of the myriad of details. I can see why Deanna was a recipient of the Top 40 under 40 award by Hardwood Floors Magazine in 2023.

We replaced the engineered hardwood on our entire first floor. Billy was very helpful during the estimate process. Deanna was very knowledgeable during the design phase and she also helped the install team. It was a long project but the team at Artistic Flooring did a great job from start to finish.

Artistic installed carpeting in the entire first floor of my large home. The installers were very nice and polite and just worked. This crew did an excellent job of installation and I would highly recommend using Artistic Flooring. Very satisfied with Billy and the crew and my new floors.

This was our first time having flooring installed and Billy and Deanna educated us and made it a painless experience! It was less than a week between ordering the flooring we liked and the finished installation. The price and timeline was great and the team did well at protecting walls and clean up. Artistic Flooring knocked it out of the park! TC and Billy went above and beyond! We are extremely satisfied with the final product! Our floors desperately needed sanding and staining. We also had water damage from a window AC unit that was angled wrong and dripped down causing the floor to buckle. We contacted Artistic Flooring who came out to assess what needed to be completed.

We were provided an estimate that same day. The estimate was extremely fair and we felt more than comfortable with their company from the first meeting. During the repair process, Artistic Flooring kept constant communication with us. The gentlemen who came to our residence introduced themselves and communicated with us throughout the day. After the sanding was complete, they applied a small sample of stains to the wood.

This allowed us to see the three possible selections we wanted and to make a more informed decision of what the floors would look like when work was complete. When we selected the stain we wanted they began the staining process the next day. They provided us guidance of the dos and donts to ensure the floors were finished correctly. In the end, the price that was estimated was the price we paid. The floors are absolutely beautiful! Not only would we use Artistic Flooring again, but we will also recommend Artistic Flooring to our friends and family!

The staff at Artistic Flooring was helpful and responsive throughout the process of having new carpet and padding installed in our house. The crew that came to the house and their supervisor, Carlos, were friendly, helpful, and worked hard throughout the day. They completed the job (4 bedrooms and large hallways) in just one day including removing old carpet and pad, moving the heavy furniture, and installing the new carpet. I am extremely happy with the work these guy do. Billy was great, came out quick and gave quick fair estimate. They came to job and completed flawlessly. His guys were professional and courteous. Cleaned up well after completion. This job involved weaving new hardwood into an existing hardwood flooring. Sanding, stain and poly. It came out awesome. Artistic flooring did a great job repairing a section of hardwood flooring in my kitchen. Some of the flooring and sub-floor had to be replaced. I was concerned about the new flooring matching the old flooring. There was no reason to be concerned. Billy and his crew did an outstanding job. The match is perfect. Artistic Flooring did a wonderful job with our floors. They redid around 1000 sq. ft. of continuous hardwood spanning several rooms and closets. It looks amazing!

We had a fairly complex project - replacing carpet, ceramic tile and hardwood floors and multiple staircases, hand rails and landings with hardwood floor with a carpet runner. Billy had a great team of artisans complete the job with fantastic results. Floors, stairs, trim work, plaster, paint, carpet - all beautifully completed. Communication throughout the project was excellent.

Billy and his team did a wonderful job with our floors. We have two different woods on the first floor and wanted them to be the same color. They were able to sand them down, stain/seal and get them to match. The employees were all great and took time to listen to any concerns and answer all of my questions. Wonderful experience from start to finish. Deanna and Billy were very friendly and pleasant, and very accommodating. They were patient as we decided what floors we wanted and let us take home samples to compare, and thorough when asking what we wanted done. I had another quote and done before Artistic Flooring, and he was charging almost double for less quoted work (said nothing about our doorjams needing replaced due to the gap in changing the elevation in the floor). Billy, the owner of Artistic Flooring caught this right away and gave a fair quote.

We were scheduled only a month out, and the work got done in about a week. Deanna also allowed us to run a Synchrony credit plan, so we didn't have to pay the entire cost upfront. The actual workers that came to the house, Caleb and Ant, were extremely friendly and accommodating, and very communicative throughout the process. Highly recommend this small business for all of your flooring renovations in the Hampton Roads area!

Removed glued down wood flooring and carpet, installed LVP flooring, about 1500 SF. Projected to take 5 days, all work, including replacing furniture was done in 4 days. All work was professional. They vacuumed the area every day before leaving. They installed felt pads on all my chairs to ensure the new floor would not get scratched. I am very satisficed with the flooring and highly recommend them.

This is my first stained floors. So, I asked a zillion questions on how to care for the new floors. They told me there isn't too many questions to ask. They are over the top! Total Win!

I cannot give enough praise to Billy and his team at Artistic Flooring. I had all the carpet in my condo ripped out and installed LVP. From picking samples, to laying the LVP, to redoing the floor molding, Artistic Flooring did an AMAZING job. Very detail-oriented. Very friendly. And very professional!

Billy came by and gave us an estimate and walked us through the process. Our property is a rental and the tenant destroyed the Hardwood floors by letting their cats use it as a litter box. The pee smell was awful, Billy assured us that he could get it out by sanding the floors down. Sure enough, the smell was gone and he gave us some recommendations on stains. The floors look beautiful once again! Artistic Flooring did an amazing job!

Amazing, we had to replace part of our floor but it was an open floor design and they came in and stained both sides and it looks amazing. Hardwood floors that are almost 100 years old look so similar to the new, you need to look twice.

Billy and his team deserve 10/10 stars! originally they had installed a floor in my house and looked great, about a year later the floor started to bow and crack. I called Billy to see what could be done, they determined the product was defective asked me to come by the shop to pick a new floor. A few weeks later Billy personally installed the new floor in the whole house, he stands behind his team and his products, he also will go the extra mile on your job to make sure you are taken care of. I reached out to Artistic Flooring based on the reviews and they did not disappoint. Everything from the estimate, scheduling, and installation was great. I had two different estimates and although Artistic was a bit higher, Im glad I went with them. They were very communicative, had a great selection of carpet, and showed up on time as scheduled. In just one day, they were able to tear out and replace 5 bedrooms. I didnt have one single issue with the process or installation. I would absolutely use them again!

We had old tile on the foyer floor that was pulled off & Bill matched the wood to the existing wood which came out beautiful. Had wood floors put in all bedrooms upstairs. New stairs were done & the result was great. We highly recommend Artistic Flooring.

I cannot say enough about the quality of work and craftsmanship of this company. They completely tore and re-built a flight of stairs at entrance of my house. They were at the house almost every day for close to 3 weeks. Their work was meticulous and mid way thru the project I could begin to see the artistic flair Billys apprentices add to their work.

At one point, I did not like part of the hand rail I had chosen. BIlly listened to my concern and replaced the part without reproach, argument or any hint of frustration. The same can be said when it came time to choose the stain color. They were very patient and professional with me until we reached the desired shade. I have received so many compliments in the just 2 months this work was completed. Its the first thing you see when entering the house, and your eye is drawn directly to the rich wood and artistic rail. Thank you guys!

Billy and his whole team are amazing. They did an awesome job on our new floors and baseboards. One room had some type of wood they had to rip out, that looked like a gnarly job, and replaced the whole downstairs with LVP. They also replaced all of my baseboards so everything looks super clean. Unbelievable what these dudes can do. They deserve 10 stars.

We bought a new house recently and the carpet inside hadn't been updated in 20-plus years. We had Billy come out and he gave us an estimate the next day. It was a very big job and he gave us a great price! Even with the hardwood flooring being delayed, his team worked quickly and efficiently to replace the carpeting in the bedrooms and install the hardwood in the rest of the house. My wife and I moved into a new home recently and decided to redo all the existing hardwoods on the first floor and the carpet on the second with new hardwoods.
